About Prof. Yury Gogotsi
Yuri Gogotsi serves as a Distinguished University and Trustee Chair Professor of Materials Science at Drexel University. He's also the director of the A.J. Drexel Nanomaterials Institute. A globally recognized figure in materials science, Prof. Gogotsi's expertise lies in carbon-based nanomaterials, energy storage, and MXenes.
In 2000, Prof. Gogotsi became a part of the Drexel University faculty. He founded the A.J. Drexel Nanomaterials Institute in 2014. Furthermore, he co-founded NanoXplore and XG Sciences, companies that harness his research to innovate new materials.
Globally Renowned for his work in carbon-based nanomaterials, Gogotsi's contributions have profoundly influenced energy storage. He introduced the use of MXenes in energy storage applications. With over 800 publications in peer-reviewed journals, he stands as a frequently cited scholar in his field.
Numerous accolades grace Prof. Gogotsi's career, such as the MRS Medal, the Materials Today Innovation Award, and the Horizon Prize.
